This is a Jungle Ghost GPS and carries with it our indelible reputation. All our units are ENHANCED, SPECIAL MAGELLAN TRITON 1500 units and this one is no different.
These
units have been used by our Search and Rescue Customers. Some small abrasions and scruffs on back panel but nothing to interfere with its superior functionality.
Please note that this unit is NOT A REFURBISHED UNITS. It was Factory New
when originally purchased. The unit comes USB data cable, we have the CD-ROM but we
find it to be outdated so we will add to your SDHC card the latest National Geographic
software, Vantage Point, Instruction Manual, etc.
They have the latest firmware and our super SYSTEM 2 Operating System. In addition, we always sell these units with a copy of our Proprietary Worldwide Contour Basemap and our Rescue-Repair Software. So you can always repair the units in the future yourself.

Many of you asked us if you could add Des Newman's OziCeExplorer (Des is the creator of
the OziCeExplorer and OziPCExplorer software) to the GPS so that you have another way of
making maps for anywhere in the world and take advantage of the great Magellan GPS
receiver.
On our Triton 1500/2000 GPS Protective Software you can actually load OziCeExplorer.
In fact, you can load the Trial OziCeExplorer to experience how easy it is
for OziExplorer to read Charts and create .map files. OziCeExplorer maps are raster
maps and work. We use the Ozi maps to back up the Magellan maps just in case
the Triton fails.
What we are saying, is that with our software you can use the hardware in the Triton to
run Ozi raster maps. So if your Triton software fails, you can still use your GPS
but run the OziCeExplorer maps instead.

You can use our ULTRA SPEED SDHC Flash Card to Store Continuous Tracks on Your SDHC Card
and not be limited to the 5000 breadcrumb capacity of Internal Memory. As an
example, you can store on this SDHC card about 3600 breadcrumbs/hour and have room for
over 1000 hours of data.

As you know most TOPO maps for the Magellan Triton are priced between $85.00 - $99.00 for each State and these expensive maps do not even come with many Street Names. As you can see by our EXAMPLE LISTING IMAGE OF THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS, MO, our STATE maps are a combination TOPO and Street Name Maps designed for your SPECIFIC Magellan GPS. THE EXAMPLE FROM THE MISSOURI STATE TOPO OF ST. LOUIS is resolvable from a zoom of 3 miles to as close as 100 feet (1:15000) One 7.5' Quad is at 200 feet (1:24000) and as high as (1:150000). In Magellan Zoom Language that is from 100 feet to over 1 mile. In addition our Detail Basemap will blend into the maps as you go much higher.
If you notice photo #1 (The Street Names of St. Louis) upon careful examination you will see the gray contour lines one of them gives the elevation at 480 feet. Below you can view Devil's Mountain National Monument in the South Dakota area. Yes, it is the same Devil's Mountain in the motion picture "Close Encounters......" If we dropped the view one more notch you will find that the contour lines are 90 feet apart and the elevation numbers would have appeared.

As you can see by our EXAMPLE, our maps are a combination TOPO and Street Name Maps designed for your SPECIFIC Magellan GPS. THE EXAMPLE OF OTTAWA FROM OUR CANADA PROVINCE TOPO MAP OF ONTARIO (Bottom Photo) you can zoom to a 1:3000 level. In Magellan Zoom Language that is from 100 feet to 3 miles. In addition our Detail Basemap will blend into the maps as you go much higher. If you notice photo #1 (Churchill, New Foundland) upon careful examination you will see the gray contour lines one of them gives the elevation at 1500 feet. The map to the left is Niagara Falls and you can even see the "dash lines" of a trail.
